The Vox V9168 Pathfinder 15 Amplifier

The Pathfinder 15 is a small solid state 1x8" 15 watt combo amp that was introduced by Vox in 1999.

It has all the Vox cosmetics right, including gold string in the cabinet sides, top, and bottom. Later Vox models in the low to mid price range would drop this cosmetic touch. This was also the first amp that Korg/Vox produced in significant numbers in black Vox grill, a tip of the hat to the original Thomas Vox Pathfinder from 1965-1969.

Although solid state, this amp has an amazing tube like tone. In addition to Gain, Volume, Treble, and Bass Controls, the P15 also includes Tremolo. A Boost switch dramatically increases gain and overdrive.

An 8" special design Vox speaker is mounted inside the open backed cabinet.

The V9168 Pathfinder amp was replaced by the Pathfinder 15R with reverb in 2002.

Model Dimensions Weight MSRP
