The AC-100 swivel trolley was first seen on stage with the Beatles in the 1964 summer American tour. When combined with an AC-100 amplifier head and speaker cabinet, this amplifier had not only stunning massive acoustic output but a unique and rich appearance as well.
After Thomas Organ acquired the US distribution rights for Vox in 1965, they designed the "Super Beatle" as the US version of the AC-100. A Super Beatle swivel trolley closely modeled after the AC-100 was constructed for Thomas Organ by Technibilt, a Los Angeles area shopping cart manufacturer. The only difference between the UK and US versions of this stand involve a minor change in the cabinet swivel mounts.
In later years, Vox also used this same style stand with the Supreme and Series 90s amplifiers as well.
North Coast Music has reissued this trolley with the permission and under license to Vox UK. It comes complete with casters, mounting hardware and Vox hand wheels and offers it for sale exclusively in their web site.
