Vox amplifiers manufactured by Thomas Organ in California featured a carrying handle that was similar to the handle made in the UK for JMI Vox. Thomas Organ contracted with PCH Industries in Haddon NJ to develop a steel injection mold to produce the plastic portion of the handle. The US Vox handle featured a hexagonal raised line framed around the Vox logo. The British made handle does not have this hexagonal line.
Brass plated steel mounting loops were provided to Thomas Organ by North and Hull of Connecticut.
When Thomas Organ ceased Vox production in 1971, PCH continued to sell the Vox handle by grinding the Vox logo out of the mold. Many people called this the "Vox No Logo" handle.
North Coast Music contacted PCH a number of years ago and purchased the original Thomas Vox handle mold. North Coast Music repaired the mold, restoring the original Vox logo to the handle.
This Vox handle is now produced by, and available exclusively at North Coast Music under license to Vox UK. Click here to go to the North Coast Music web page that offers this Vox handle.
