American Vox amplifiers used a series of injection molded plastic air vents that were closely patterned after similar, but metal vents installed by JMI on British Vox amps.
The US vents had two molded plastic end pins that passed through mounting holes in the top of the head cabinet. A soldering iron was used to "mushroom" the ends of the vents to secure them to the cabinet.
In 2004, North Coast Music had injection molding tooling developed in the US to make a perfect reproduction of these American Vox parts from the 1960s. This part is produced by, and available exclusively at North Coast Music under license to Vox UK. Click here to go to the North Coast Music web page that offers this Vox vent.
