"The Larks" Zomergem, East Flanders, Belgium
1963 - 1970
The photo above of "The Larks" was taken in 1969 during a live performance on VRT, the public broadcast TV network in Belgium.

When the Larks started playing they started out with old radio and juke box amplifiers. At their first "battle of the bands" in 1963 they finished in sixth place and won a Dynacord sound system. Soon after they bought a backline consisting of a VOX Conqueror, VOX Dynamic bass and VOX AC-30. Jerry, "the man of the 101 guitars," once owned a VOX guitar.

Members from left to right; Eric Rijckaert (Jerry), Carlos Roesbeke (Oscar), drummer Erik Berth (Ricky), Fernand De Visscher+ (Bobby).
