Introduced in January 2024, the Vox amPlug3 series was the third generation of the original Vox amPlug head phone amplifier product line. Eight versions were offered, each having built-in analog amp modeling, two channels, nine digital rhythms (drum box sounds) and digital effects appropriate for the selected amplifier emulation. A swiveling ¼" plug allowed the amPlug3 to be inserted into any style of guitar input jack. Each amPlug3 offered up to 16 hours of battery life from two AAA alkaline batteries providing the digital FX and rhythm generators are turned off. All models included Gain, Volume, Tone and FX/Rhythm controls, a 3.5mm head phone jack and a TRRS jack for connection to a smartphone for video recording. Head phones were not included.
