Page eight of the 1971 JEI Newsletter makes the first mention of a valve powered Jennings amplifier.

The all valve AC40 came in two versions. The model shown below featured "Hammond" style drawbar control of channel volume and tone. The AC40 was also available with a complete set of conventional rotary controls.

The availability of a one hundred watt valve amp is additionally mentioned (but not pictured) at the bottom of the page.
